ITEE XXXIX cycle PhD student Maria Gragnaniello and her team won first place at the Hackathon organised by the National Research Council as part of the PNRR PNC Fit for Medical Robotics project. The competition took place during the international school on robotics applied to rehabilitation, which offered a high-level interdisciplinary programme.
The project, dedicated to rehabilitation for children with bilateral cerebral palsy, proposes an innovative approach that integrates robotics and traditional therapies to simultaneously improve motor and cognitive functions. The feasibility of using robotic technologies was assessed using specific questionnaires, demonstrating the potential of a multi-dimensional approach to rehabilitation.
This award recognises the value of teamwork and collaboration between engineering and clinical expertise to expand the possibilities of robotic technologies in healthcare.
